The 17 Sustainable Development Goals are: No Poverty, Zero Hunger, Good Health and Wellbeing, Quality Education, Gender Equality, Clean Water and Sanitation, Affordable and Clean Energy, Decent Work and Economic Growth, Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure, Reduced Inequalities, Sustainable Cities and Communities, Responsible Consumption and Production, Climate Action, Life Below Water, Life on Land, Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions, Partnerships for the Goals. In this way, we have gone to great lengths to focus on the objectives that concern us in our activity, by making our processes more sustainable in line with the circular economy model, seeking out products that we can reuse and recycle with a view to reducing our impact.

Priority is given to suppliers of Colombian micro-enterprises and national products, hopefully BIC companies. In rooms: On environmental issues, we got rid of single-use plastic, reducing waste from 624K to 1K per year, developed 100% natural amenities to prevent water contamination and generate skin care for guests. In terms of food, we offer a minibar included in the rate with nutritious, sustainable food designed to provide, depending on the time of day, nutritional contributions for the brain. Projects: We develop a multi-sensory gastronomic experience with an efficient, sustainable and ecological gastronomic offer. A 3D printer was acquired to develop hotel décor products using PLA filaments, which is biodegradable, thereby avoiding the use of plastic.

We came up with “Meatless Monday” in hotels to educate staff on healthy eating habits to reduce our environmental impact. We have a quarterly activity called “cooking to help”, an initiative through which employees donate food and prepare lunch at the hotel to give to vulnerable people. We pay all employees above the minimum wage (we increased our minimum wage again in September to help employees affected by inflation) Employees have one extra day off per month to spend quality time with their families We came up with a project called Bangsequence in which employees are singled out every 15 days with one of our 7 verticals so that they can live the brand: Sleep, meditation, positive psychology, positive community, healthy environment, exercise and nutrition. We give thermos flasks to employees who are interested, so that they don’t throw out their used cooking oil. All they have to do is pour it into the thermos flasks and bring it to the hotel to be in with a chance of winning prizes. We duly take responsibility for the subsequent disposal. Development of 100% sustainable uniforms for staff with recovered cotton and recycled PET, natural, ecological fibers, made in Colombia, that can be composted after they have been used for the last time.

We will launch an APP that fosters physical and mental health. They will have life insurance, free therapy with psychologist, nutritionist and telemedicine and, as they exercise and show up to these appointments, they will earn coins to be donated to different foundations. From January 2023, we will cover 100% of the carbon footprint arising from our activity and our guests' stays.
